You guys... where do we even begin with this session?! From the second we met McKayla and Drew at the trailhead, we knew it was going to be magic. These two are pure sunshine. The kind of people who make you smile so much your cheeks hurt. Their energy was playful, their love was so genuine, and oh my goodness—the way they laughed through every silly prompt we gave them? DREAM. CLIENTS. ✨

McKayla and Drew are the couple every photographer hopes for. Completely trusting, totally in love, and absolutely down for anything (yes—even the dramatic lift pose we always save for the boldest couples)! We spent golden hour chasing light, exploring hidden little nooks along the river, and soaking in one of the most joy-filled engagement sessions we’ve had in a long time.

There was one moment that really took the session to the next level. We found this insane little spot where the light hit the water just right—and Ben (aka the other half of our photo duo) didn’t even hesitate. He rolled up his pants, waded straight into the river, and got the shot. And y’all… it was 1000% worth it. That image? It’s one of our all-time favorites. Definitely announcement photo worthy.

What made this session so special wasn’t just the dreamy location or the perfect light—it was McKayla and Drew themselves. Their connection is undeniable. They giggled the whole way through, melted into each other like no one else was watching, and made our job feel less like work and more like hanging out with two new friends who just happen to be ridiculously photogenic.
